Kam-Bu is an artist from southwest London whose style pays homage to UK Rap while pushing musical boundaries. Drawing on influences from a variety of acts, including Fela Kuti, Hiatus Kaiyote, The Streets, and The Prodigy, Kam-Bu has spent years immersed in underground UK raves. His music showcases a unique talent that effortlessly shifts between party anthems and incisive lyricism, exploring themes of personal experiences, community, politics, and the environment. His critically acclaimed debut EP, "Black on Black" (2021), serves as an ode to the Windrush generation, its descendants, and diasporas in foreign lands, featuring collaborations with Rachel Chinouriri and Knucks. In 2023, Kam-Bu is set to release his second project, "Built 2 Last," a high-energy tape that channels his passion for raving and dance music, designed to energize raves and festivals. As an enigmatic live performer, he has sold out three headline shows in London and has performed at notable events including Reading & Leeds, All Points East, Glastonbury, and Pitchfork Paris. In addition to his music career, Kam-Bu is dedicated to sustainability and community initiatives, collaborating with organizations such as Idris Elba, TCV Green Gym, London Wildlife Trust, Keep Hush, Gucci, and Flock Together. He embodies the mantra "OFF GRID 4 LIFE."
