Kat Epple is a versatile flutist, synthesist, EWI-ist, composer, and digital orchestrator with an impressive career marked by twenty-six internationally released music albums. She is an Emmy and Peabody Award winner, as well as a Grammy nominee. Epple has composed original music for television and film, contributing to projects for National Geographic, Nova, CNN, Carl Sagan, The Travel Channel, Turner Broadcasting System, Children's Programming, History Channel, The Guiding Light, PBS, Apple Computers, and NASA, among others. Her performance credentials include appearances at prestigious venues such as The United Nations, National Gallery, Guggenheim Museums, Museum of Modern Art, and Hollywood Palace. She has performed for President Bill Clinton at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and at memorial commemorations at "Ground Zero." For two decades, she was commissioned by legendary visual artist Robert Rauschenberg to perform at his art openings worldwide. Epple is a founding member of the vintage electronic music ensemble "Emerald Web" and collaborates with renowned Metal guitarist Devin Townsend and “Sonic Combine.” She is also an avid collector of indigenous flutes and instruments from various cultures, often integrating their distinctive sounds into her original compositions.
