Kati Kovacs, born on October 25, 1944, in Verpelét, Hungary, is a versatile singer whose music spans various genres, including pop and disco. She achieved notable success in Hungary, winning the Popsongfestival in 1966 and 1972. Additionally, she was the Champion of the Popsongfestival in Dresden, GDR, in 1972, and the Champion of the Castlebar International Song Contest in Ireland in 1974. Throughout the 1970s, she also gained significant recognition as a singer in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR).
