Kay Gardner was an American flautist, composer, and lecturer, born on February 8, 1941, in Freeport, New York. She passed away on August 28, 2002, in Bangor, Maine. An original member of the groundbreaking "Womyn's Music" group, she also released solo albums. Gardner was at the forefront of the healing and meditation movement in the 1970s and pioneered the field of sound healing with her first album. Throughout her career, she performed on over four continents, lectured at top universities, and led workshops.
