Kébekélektrik was a studio project conceived and overseen by Deserio, who enlisted a local keyboard virtuoso and University of Montreal philosophy student to create a disco record. The project featured four songs: an arrangement of Ravel's "Bolero," a popular cover of Cerrone's "Magic Fly," and two original compositions, "Mirage" and "War Dance," with the latter becoming an unexpected dancefloor hit. While Deserio oversaw the project and holds co-writing credits, Soccio performed every note. The project is sometimes listed as 'Kebekelektric'.
