**Bio of The Keggs** The Keggs were a 1960s garage rock band hailing from Garden City, Michigan. Known for their tumultuous existence, they were reportedly so disliked in Detroit that they had to change their name after every performance. The band's guitarist met a tragic end when he was killed in a motorcycle accident, which ultimately curtailed their career. In the summer of 1967, The Keggs recorded two out-of-tune tracks at Be A Star Studios, located in a questionable neighborhood in Detroit. Unfortunately, just two weeks later, the studio was destroyed in riots. Yolanda Owens, who was listed as the producer on their record, had lent her label’s name, Orbit, to the project. Despite the studio's destruction, she had made a safety master and was able to press the record, with research indicating that 100 copies were made, contrary to the liner notes claiming only 75. The additional copies were distributed to local radio DJs for promotional purposes. The Keggs were rediscovered by compiler Tim Warren in 1984 while he was in Los Angeles. He spent two days parked outside the home of a former band member in Detroit, eventually acquiring two more copies. One of these was sold at the Paris Record Show in 1986 to an Italian collector, from whom a current owner purchased their copy in 2005 for $2,561. A damaged copy sold for $373 in 2009. Today,
