Keith Mansfield is a British arranger, producer, composer, band leader, and saxophonist born in 1943 in London, England. He is renowned in the UK for composing theme tunes for some of British television's most respected shows, including "Grandstand," "Light And Tuneful" (the opening theme for the BBC's coverage of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships), and "World Series" (used for the BBC's athletics coverage). To American audiences, Mansfield is best known for his composition "Funky Fanfare," which was used in the "Astro Daters" series of snipes produced by the National Screen Service in the late 1960s. This tune has also been featured during the opening credits of "Pit Boss" on Animal Planet and was prominently included in the films "Kill Bill" and "Grindhouse." A vocal version of "Funky Fanfare," titled "House Of Jack," was recorded in 1969. In addition to his work in television, Mansfield achieved some solo success in library music and produced for jazz musicians. He is married to a singer.
