Keith West is a British singer born on December 6, 1943, in Dagenham, Essex, England. He gained significant recognition in 1967 with his hit "Excerpt From 'A Teenage Opera'," a collaboration that contributed to the opera's completion in 2002. Prior to this success, he was involved with various bands, including The In Crowd and Tomorrow, a seminal psychedelic band that featured future Yes member on guitar and Twink on drums. West composed most of Tomorrow's songs, which were credited under his real name, Keith Hopkins. From 1969 onward, he adopted a west coast troubadour style, influenced by the Byrds and CSNY, and released a solo album in Germany in 1974. He also led the band Moonrider around 1975 and later shifted his focus to producing music for the advertising industry. In 2021, Ian L. Clay published his official biography titled "Thinking About Tomorrow (Excerpts From The Life Of Keith West)."
