Kellee Patterson is a talented singer and television host born in the Midwest near Chicago, specifically in Gary, Indiana. She gained national recognition in 1971 when she became the first black girl to win the title of Miss Indiana and participated in the Miss America pageant, showcasing her singing abilities. Kellee began her professional singing career at the age of 16, and following her success in the pageant, she toured the world, performing and delivering speeches. She later broke into television by hosting Harambee in Chicago before continuing her singing career after relocating to the West Coast.
