Kelly Polar, born Michael Kelley in Dubrovnik, Croatia, hails from a family in the US Diplomatic Corps. A musical prodigy, he began playing the violin at the age of 3 and composed his first symphonic-disco piece, "Get in the Love Bubble," shortly thereafter. His musical journey has been marked by a blend of classical and electronic influences, drawing inspiration from both Kraftwerk and Schubert, as well as Thomas Dolby and Dvorak. While pursuing an advanced degree at The Juilliard School in New York City, Kelley collaborated with Darshan Jesrani and Morgan Geist of Metro Area on popular tracks like "Miura," "The Art of Hot," and "Caught Up." However, he was recently expelled from Juilliard following a "riot" during his Master's Recital. Now residing in New Hampshire, Polar has embraced a reclusive lifestyle, living in a farmhouse basement studio and caring for a herd of Scottish Longhair cattle.
