Kenji Yamamoto (山本健司 / やまもと けんじ), born on July 1, 1958, in Fukuoka, Japan, is a renowned Japanese composer and arranger. He is best known for producing and composing soundtracks for various anime, tokusatsu, and video games from the 1980s to the 2000s, particularly for several Dragon Ball video games, as well as various pop and anison arrangements. He is also credited under the name Kenz. Additionally, he is the father of a lyricist. It is important to note that he should not be confused with another composer named Kenji Yamamoto (山本健誌), who is known for his work on the Metroid series and has a different Kanji spelling. Kenji Yamamoto is sometimes referred to as Kenji "Yamaken" Yamamoto / 山本"ヤマケン"健司.
