Khan was born in Frankfurt am Main to a Finnish mother and a Turkish father. He was raised in Germany and currently resides in Berlin. From 1992 to 2002, he lived in New York City, where he owned the Temple Records shop in the East Village and its associated label. In 2008, he founded a record label. He is also the brother of another individual, though their name is not provided.
