Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, is an American recording artist and actor from Cleveland, Ohio, born on January 30, 1984. He gained major recognition with his 2008 mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, which caught the attention of Kanye West, leading to his signing with GOOD Music. Cudi has launched his own record labels, including the now-dissolved Dream On and the current Wicked Awesome Records. Initially starting as a rapper, he has expanded his repertoire to include singing, songwriting, record producing, guitar playing, music video directing, and film composing. As of 2018, he has released six studio albums as a solo artist. His debut single, "Day 'n' Nite," reached the top five of the Billboard charts, and his first album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, was certified gold. Cudi's subsequent works include Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, the rock band WZRD, and albums such as Indicud, Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon, Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven, and Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'.
