**Bio: Kid 'N Play** Real Names: Christopher "Kid" Reid & Christopher "Play" Martin Kid 'N Play is a hip-hop duo known for their positive lyrics and energetic performances. They released three albums between 1988 and 1993: "2 Hype" (1988), "Kid 'N Play's Funhouse" (1990), and "Face the Nation" (1991). Their manager and producer during the early part of their career was Hurby "Luv Bug" Azor, who had previously been a member of the hip-hop group with Play. Among their most successful singles are "Rollin' with Kid 'N Play," which reached number 11 on the Billboard R&B singles chart in 1989, and "Funhouse," which peaked at number 1 on the Billboard rap singles chart in 1990. Another notable hit, "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody," also reached number 1 on the rap chart. Their stage performances showcased their teen-friendly personalities and included their signature dance move, the Kick Step. Kid is recognized for his distinctive hi-top fade haircut, which stood six inches high, while Play often wore eight-ball jackets.
