Kiddus I is a Jamaican reggae musician and vocalist, born in December 1944 in Port Maria, St. Parish, Jamaica. In the 1960s, he learned to play various instruments, including piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet, and began his career as a concert organizer. From 1971 to 1978, he was a member of a band, playing the funde drum. He started recording in 1972 at Joe Gibbs' studio and later ran his own label while also recording at Lee Perry's Black Ark studio. Kiddus I appeared in the film "Rockers" (1978), where he performed "Graduation in Zion" at Harry J Studios, a song recorded two years prior to the film's release. He is known by several names, including "Kid," "Kid Reketek," "Kiddi," "Kid Bangarang," and "Doctor Feel Good," and was named "Kiddus I," meaning "the saint" in Amharic, by Rs Michael.
