Kim Hiorthøy (born March 27, 1973, in Trondheim, Norway) is a versatile Norwegian artist based in Berlin, known for his work as a musician, painter, author, illustrator, graphic designer, and film director. He was raised in Trondheim and pursued his studies at the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art from 1991 to 1996, as well as at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1999 to 2000. In 1994, during his time at the Trondheim Academy, Hiorthøy spent a year studying at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
