King Sun, born Rahmakhan Todd Turnbow on February 23, 1967, is an American rapper hailing from Paterson, New Jersey. He debuted in 1987 with the single "Hey Love," produced by D-Moet, which peaked at #69 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. That same year, he signed with Zakia Records and Profile Records. His debut album, XL, was released in 1989 but did not chart. King Sun's second album, Righteous but Ruthless, came out in 1990 and was his only studio album to reach the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, peaking at #54. After this release, he parted ways with Profile Records. In 1992, he released the single "Sippin' Brandy" under Money Bag Records, Inc. He later signed with Cold Chillin' Records and released the EP Strictly Ghetto in 1994. After nearly a decade, King Sun returned with his third studio album, Say No More, in 1999. He followed this with the EP Heat 4 da Streets in 2002.
