King Ayisoba is a hiplife performer and kologo player born in June 1975 in Bongo SOE near Bolgatanga, in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He learned to play the kologo, a traditional two-stringed guitar, from his grandfather, a traditional healer, and began his music career in pito bars and festivals, quickly becoming a child prodigy. After leaving Bongo Soe for Techiman Nyampenase in the Brong Ahafo Region to engage in farming, he moved to Accra after one year. There, he collaborated with Terry Bonchaka, writing and composing songs while playing the kologo, with Terry handling the raps. Following Terry Bonchaka's tragic death in 2003, King Ayisoba featured on the track "Mama Africa" with Krontihene. In 2007, he released his first solo album, "Modern Ghanaians," which included the hit song "I want to see you my father," achieving significant success on the charts in Ghana.
