King Errison, born on October 29, 1941, in Nassau, Bahamas, is a talented percussionist currently residing in Las Vegas. He began his musical journey at the age of five and moved to Los Angeles at eighteen with aspirations of becoming an actor, leading to appearances in several movies and commercials. Notably, he performed with his calypso band in the James Bond film "Thunderball" (1965). His musical career took off when he met jazz saxophonist Julian “Cannonball” Adderley, with whom he recorded eight albums. For over 30 years, King Errison has played congas for Neil Diamond and has contributed to numerous Motown recordings. Berry Gordy referred to him as the "unsung hero of Motown" in his autobiography. It is worth noting that his name is sometimes spelled Errison with one "S" on certain releases.
