King Errisson is a talented percussionist born on October 29, 1941, in Nassau, Bahamas, and currently residing in Las Vegas. He began his musical journey at the age of 5 and moved to Los Angeles at 18, aspiring to become an actor, which led to appearances in several movies and commercials. Notably, he performed with his calypso band in the James Bond film "Thunderball" (1965). His musical career took off when he met jazz saxophonist Julian “Cannonball” Adderley, with whom he recorded eight albums. King Errisson has been playing congas for Neil Diamond for over 30 years and has contributed to numerous Motown recordings. Berry Gordy referred to him as the unsung hero of Motown in his autobiography. It is worth noting that his name is sometimes spelled "Errison" with one S on certain releases.
