King Scratch, born on either March 20 or 28, 1936, in Kendal, Jamaica, was a prominent Jamaican record producer and singer known for his innovative studio techniques and distinctive production style. He played a significant role in the founding of the reggae and dub genres. King Scratch passed away on August 29, 2021, in Lucea, Jamaica.
