Kings Of Leon is an American rock band formed in 1999 in Tennessee. The band's name is derived from their father and grandfather, both named Leon, which reflects the familial ties of the members. The band consists of Caleb Followill on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jared Followill on bass and backing vocals, Nathan Followill on drums and vocals, and Matthew Followill on lead guitar and backing vocals. All members have been with the band since its inception.
