Kirlian Camera is an Italian electronic act led by Angelo Bergamini, known for being pioneers of the Italian electronic scene since their formation in 1979 under the name Suicide Commando. The band adopted the name Kirlian Camera in 1980, releasing their first demo tape "Dawn" and a self-titled mini-album in late 1981. Their early music featured a blend of synth pop and new wave/dance styles, but by the late 1980s, they shifted towards a darker electro-gothic sound. Over the years, Kirlian Camera has explored various genres, including industrial, ambient, and trip-hop. Angelo Bergamini has always been the mind behind Kirlian Camera, collaborating with numerous members, performers, and vocalists throughout its history. Notable past members include Fabrizio Chiari, Simona Buja, Paul Sears, Charlie Mallozzi, Mauro Montacchini, Simon Balestrazzi, Ivano Bizzi, Gianluca Becuzzi, and Andrea Savelli. The current lineup features Angelo Bergamini on keyboards, electronics, and vocals, Elena Alice Fossi on lead and backing vocals, keyboards, electronics, and bass guitar, Davide Mazza as a live member on keyboards, electronics, and vocals, and Mia Wallace as a live member on bass guitar.
