Klaus Benedek is an electronic music producer and DJ from a small town near Vienna. His passion for electronic music ignited during the 90s techno boom, inspired by video clips on MTV and Viva. In 2004, he began self-teaching music production and started collecting 12" vinyl records. Two years later, he secured his first DJ gigs and became a resident DJ at the MNML Thursdays in the Camera Club from 2008 to 2010. In 2012, he co-founded the event series Tellerbetrieb with Alex Kolodziej. Klaus draws inspiration from Chicago House, Deep House, Disco, and Breakbeat. He launched his own label, fortunea, in 2014 after releasing music on various digital labels, including Piston Recordings, Emerald & Doreen Recordings, Sure Cuts Records, and Colour In Music. Since 2019, he has hosted the fortunea Radioshow bi-weekly on Radio MRS and PowerFM.
