Klaus Weiss was a German jazz drummer born on February 17, 1942, in Gevelsberg, Germany. He passed away on December 10, 2008, in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, Germany. Weiss was active in the jazz scene from 1962 to 1965 and again from 1967 to 1968, as well as from 1969 to 1970, often accompanying visiting American musicians. In 1971, he founded and initiated a percussion fusion band in Munich, which remained active until 1973. During this time, he also managed a second fusion project. Weiss continued to work as a jazz musician for five decades until his death in 2008.
