Klymaxx is an all-female funk band formed by Bernadette Cooper, initially consisting of eight members. The group achieved significant success with hit songs such as "I Miss You," "I'd Still Say Yes," and "Man Size Love." They released three albums before their breakthrough with "Meeting In The Ladies Room," during which they transitioned to a six-member lineup that fans remember fondly. Following their self-titled album, Cooper and Joyce Irby departed to pursue solo careers, with Cooper also producing other artists, including the Klymaxx-like group Madame X. After Lynn Malsby left, the remaining members released one more album, "The Maxx Is Back," in 1990 as a trio. This trio disbanded shortly after. In 1994, most of the original members reunited to record "One Day." However, the group disbanded again, and in 2003, Cooper, Malsby, Porter, and Irby came together on VH1's "Bands Reunited" TV show, although Cheryl Cooley did not participate due to disputes over her unauthorized use and attempted trademark of the band's name. While Cooley continues to tour under the Klymaxx name, Bernadette Cooper tours as Klymaxx featuring Bernadette Cooper.
