Knowledge is a Jamaican reggae quintet hailing from Trenchtown, Kingston. The group was formed by longtime friends, featuring lead vocals and various members. Their journey began with a meeting that led to their first recording in 1975 and their debut album in 1978. Tragically, Earl McFarlane was killed by gunmen in Kingston in 1981, followed by Michael Samuels in 1987. William McLaren and Magnus Skeen later joined the group, but William was also killed in 1999, marking a series of tragedies for the band. Anthony Doyley passed away on February 26, 2011, in England, where he had been living. Delroy Fowlin currently resides in the south of France, where he can often be heard playing guitar on the street under the name Bronco Knowledge.
