Koen De Bruyne was a Belgian pianist, arranger, and composer born on March 23, 1946. He was the son of Arthur De Bruyne and had two siblings, one of whom was a musician who passed away in 1976. Koen began his career as a classical pianist, performing with various ensembles and teaching at a conservatory. After suffering a coma due to an accident, he shifted his focus to jazz and the electric piano, eventually becoming one of Belgium's most prominent studio musicians, collaborating with both jazz and pop artists, including his brother and others. He released two solo albums, one of which is recognized as an early experimental electronic soundtrack for the film "In Kluis" by Jan Gruyaert. Koen De Bruyne passed away from a stroke on July 28, 1977, while producing a project, and the opening song "Oh Producer" is dedicated to him.
