Koes Plus is one of the most popular music groups in Indonesia, formed as a continuation of the Koes Brothers after drummer Nomo left in 1969 and was replaced by Murry. The band has explored a diverse range of musical styles, including Melayu (Dangdut), Pop Jawa, Keroncong, Instrumentalia, Hard Beat, folk, Islamic (Qasidah), and Christmas songs (Natal). Despite the presence of numerous Koes Plus cover bands in Indonesia today, the original band continues to perform, although they do so without Tonny, who passed away in 1987.
