Konstruktivists is a project that was formed in 1982 out of the ashes of another group. In its early years, the project was primarily listed as Konstruktivits on releases and promotional materials, although Konstruktivists also appeared on some releases. The names were used interchangeably during this time. In more recent years, the names Konstruktivists and the shorter Konstruktivist have been used on releases.
