Korea Town Acid (KTA) is a Toronto-based free form beat manipulator known for creating swinging dance rhythms that blend disassembled minimalism, free jazz, and avant-garde techno. With a background as a classically trained pianist, Cho offers a fresh perspective to the beat-driven landscape, allowing seemingly abstract rhythms to linger and mingle with moody textures. Her eclectic DJ sets encompass a wide range of genres, including Jazz, Lo-fi Hiphop, Rap, House, Techno, and Experimental IDM. KTA has opened for notable artists such as Yaeji, Helena Hauff, Laurel Halo, Shackleton, Machinedrum, Leon Vynehall, Hieroglyphic Being, Funkineven, Kyle Hall, MoMa Ready, Ross From Friends, and Pelada. She has also performed at various festivals, including Mutek Montreal, Electric Island, Kazoo Guelph, Up Here, Tone Deaf, and The Music Gallery.
