Kortatu was a Spanish ska-punk band formed in 1984 in Irun, Basque Country. Active until 1988, they were part of the Basque Radical Rock movement and were pioneers in introducing ska to Spain, drawing from a punk background. Influenced by the British band The Clash, their lyrics initially alternated between Spanish and Euskera, eventually adopting Euskera exclusively. The band consisted of members Fermin Muguruza, Iñigo Muguruza, Treku Armendariz, and Kaki Arkarazo.
