Kot Kot is a sound artist originally from Karelia, North-West Russia, and currently based in Germany. She creates music using found sounds and sound collages, blending both abstract and rhythmic elements. Her work incorporates recordings from various environments, including nature, urban settings, street musicians, occasional radio broadcasts, old films, and authentic musical experiences from different individuals, including neighbors whistling. These recordings are mixed with her own music pieces during live recording sessions. Kot Kot utilizes synthesizers for children, samplers, and sound processors to craft minimalistic songs inspired by Soviet magazines and children's books. The lyrics consist of a sporadic mixture of texts and poems in Russian from Soviet children's literature, reworked into new, short, abstract, yet complete texts.
