Kourosh Yaghmaee (Persian: کورش یغمایی‎), born on December 3, 1946, is an Iranian singer, songwriter, composer, and record producer. He began his career in the early 1970s and is celebrated as one of the greatest Persian psychedelic rock musicians in the history of Iranian rock music. Known as "the Godfather of Iranian psychedelic rock" and the "king of rock," his voice was banned for 17 years following the events of 1979.
