Kuljit Bhamra is a British composer, record producer, and percussionist, born in 1959. He is recognized as one of the UK’s most influential British Asian musicians and is a pioneer of Bhangra in Britain. In 2009, he was awarded an MBE for his services to Bhangra and British Asian music. Additionally, he received an honorary Doctorate from the University of Exeter in 2010.
