La Mecánica Popular is a dynamic ensemble comprised of musicians from Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, and New York. They represent a new wave of tropical music, drawing inspiration from the roots of 1970s salsa dura and the experimental sounds of Peru. Their unique style, which they call "Psychedelic Salsa," blends ambient elements with hard rhythms to create an innovative musical experience.
