La Sonora Dinamita is a Colombian cumbia group that was formed in Cartagena de Indias in 1960, originally featuring Lucho Argaín as the singer. After a period of inactivity, the group was reactivated in 1975 by "Fruko," who currently holds the rights to the original name. Due to the group's popularity, several Mexican groups have emerged with similar names and different members. These include La Original Sonora Dinamita de Lucho Argaín y Xiu García, Sonora Dinamita de Lucho Argaín, and Sonora Dinamita de Lucho Argaín y Elsa López.
