La STPO, also known as La Société des Timides à la Parade des Oiseaux (which translates to "The Shy People's Society at the Birds Parade"), is a French ensemble that has been active since 1984. This six-piece (or more) group operates in a musical space that bridges Etron Fou axis and Neo-chamber styles. They are known for their humor, avant-garde elements, ultra high-energy theatrics, and a diverse eclecticism. Their performances encompass a wide range of material, utilizing instruments such as guitars, bass, contrabass, drums, percussion, saxophones, mallets, and synths, alongside unique instruments like the balafon and viola de gamba.
