Lacewing was formed in Kent, Ohio, emerging from the remnants of a previous outfit that included Joe Walsh before his time with the James Gang and Joe Vitale, who had also played in Chylds and Joe Walsh's Barnstormer. After releasing their Mainstream album in 1970, they reverted their name back to The Measles. Their music showcases a West Coast influence, featuring a mix of folk tracks like "Time To Go," atmospheric pieces such as "Rebirth," and heavier rock cuts like "Epicycle" and "Play For You." The standout track from their album is the 45, noted as their best.
