Lasse Marhaug (b. 1974) is a prominent figure in the Norwegian noise and experimental music scene, active since the early 1990s. As a performer and composer, he has contributed to over 300 releases across CD, vinyl, and cassette formats, and has toured extensively, performing live on all continents. In addition to his solo work, Marhaug has collaborated with various artists in noise, experimental, improv, jazz, rock, and extreme metal, and has worked on music and sound for theatre, dance, installations, film, and video. He founded and continues to run several initiatives, including a record label and a print publishing house called Marhaug Forlag, established in 2011. Marhaug has also been active as an organizer, promoter, and producer. Originally from the northern regions above the Arctic Circle in Norway, he currently resides in Oslo.
