Laura St. Jude (born April 2, 1992) is a Glasgow-based singer, songwriter, and musician known for her romantic realism and evocative sound. With her telecaster in hand, she explores the depths of melancholy while maintaining a sense of hope. Laura gained recognition for her extensive touring with the rock band The Amazing Snakeheads, where she contributed guest vocals, guitar, and percussion, including support shows with Jack White in Paris and London. She co-wrote the B-side "The Bullfighter," released by The Amazing Snakeheads in 2014. In 2012, Laura self-released her debut EP, "Fatal," featuring a lineup that included drummer/backing vocalist Jennifer Hamilton, who remains part of her group. In 2015, she released a 7” Double A-side on Off Label Records, which included "I Can’t Stop Loving You" and "Yours to Destroy," both later featured on her self-titled debut album in 2017. Her song "The Devil’s Daughter" has been included in the soundtracks for the TV series Riverdale and the film The Grudge. Following the tragic passing of her husband Dale Barclay from brain cancer in September 2018, Laura has continued her music career while also advocating for brain cancer awareness. She has collaborated with fellow Glasgow artists Natalie Pryce and Boab. Critics have praised her emotionally immersive performances and rich, sultry vocals.
