Laurent Perez Del Mar, born on March 10, 1974, in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France, is a talented composer who began playing the piano at a very young age. He studied music at the Conservatoire, majoring in composition, and also pursued medicine, becoming an MD. After moving to Paris, he quickly caught the attention of major advertising agencies such as Publicis, TBWA, Ogilvy, and Young&Rubicam, leading to a successful career in scoring commercials and short films. He has scored over twenty short films and forty commercials, earning a Bronze Lion at Cannes for his work with BETC Euro RSCG. In 2007, he composed his first feature film score for "FEAR OF THE DARK," an underground animation film that received critical acclaim. He later scored the animated feature "ZARAFA," directed by Rémi Bezançon and Jean-Christophe Lie, which was nominated for the César 2013 for Best Animated Movie. In 2013, he composed scores for "WOLFY, THE INCREDIBLE SECRET," which won the César 2014 for Best Animation Movie, and "THE BROTHERHOOD OF TEARS" by Jean-Baptiste Andrea.
