Lausse the Cat is a British multilingual rapper and singer recognized for his jazz-infused, melancholic sound and mysterious persona. He emerged in the late 2010s and quickly garnered a cult following with his debut EP, *The Girl, The Cat and The Tree*, which features a dreamy mix of hip-hop, lo-fi textures, and poetic storytelling. Lausse creates his music through the perspective of a feline alter-ego, a drifting, romantic, and slightly tragic character who navigates themes of loneliness, escapism, and the shadows of city life.
