Lea Bertucci is an American composer, improviser, and sound artist whose work bridges experimental music, electroacoustic composition, and site-responsive performance. Drawing from the physical properties of sound, she often integrates woodwinds—particularly the alto saxophone and bass clarinet—with field recordings and tape collage. Her projects explore space, resonance, and the relationships between acoustic and electronic sound. Bertucci has released acclaimed recordings on labels such as NNA Tapes and Cibachrome Editions and has presented her work internationally at venues including the Walker Art Center, The Kitchen, and Berlin’s INA GRM.
