Lea Riders Group was a Swedish rock band originating from Borgholm, Öland. Founded in 1961 by Hawkey Franzén and two friends as the Red River Band, the group initially consisted of drums, accordion, and trumpet. They evolved into Lea Riders Group in 1963, with various members coming and going, but Franzén remained the constant frontman. The band gained popularity in the mid-1960s, performing at schools and venues across Öland, Kalmar, Småland, Blekinge, and Östergötland, eventually making a name for themselves in Stockholm. In 1966, they made their only television appearance on SVT in a live show directed by Stefan Jarl and Jan Lindqvist. The band recorded several singles released by Philips and collaborated with Jarl and Lindqvist to provide film music for "Dom kallar oss mods." However, by mid-1968, internal disagreements led to the disbandment of Lea Riders Group in May of that year. Following their breakup, members Bosse Häggström, Jojje Wadenius, and Slim Borgudd went on to form the band Made in Sweden.
