Lee Underwood is an American author, musician, and journalist, known for playing lead guitar for most of Jeff Buckley's career. He is also a pianist. From 1975 to 1981, Underwood resided in Los Angeles, where he served as the West Coast editor for DownBeat magazine, concentrating on jazz. His writing contributions include articles for Rolling Stone magazine and The Los Angeles Times. He co-authored the autobiography of Paul Horn titled "Inside Paul Horn" (1990) and has created poems and short stories. Additionally, Underwood hosted a Fresno radio show called "Between The Lines: Poetry To Take You Home," alongside Preston Chase.
