Legendary Pink Dots is an Anglo-Dutch rock band that was formed in London, UK, in August 1980. In 1984, the band relocated to Amsterdam, Netherlands. The group is led by Edward Ka-Spel, who serves as both the singer and chief lyric writer. The current lineup includes Erik Drost, Randall Frazier, Joep Hendrikx, and Raymond Steeg, following the departure of founding member Phil Knight in 2022. Known for their experimental and psychedelic music, Legendary Pink Dots combines a diverse array of sounds, including electronics, saxophones, guitars, and drums, all complemented by Ka-Spel's distinctive voice and inventive lyrics. The band also engages in various side projects and solo ventures.
