Lemon Kittens is a band that originated in Reading, UK, in the late 1970s, founded by Karl Blake. In September 1979, Blake placed an ad in Industrial News, which led him to meet Danielle Dax. Initially providing artwork for the band, Dax later became a full partner. The Kittens explored avant-garde rock for several years while engaging with the emerging DIY scene.
