Lenny And The Thundertones was a band formed in 1959 in Detroit, Michigan, consisting of Lenny Drake on lead guitar, Pete Weiss on rhythm guitar, Al Johnson on bass, and Dave Ashbolt on drums. The members were classmates from Redford High School. Their manager, Bud Jandrino, owned a record shop called Bell Records located across the street from the school.
