Les Hooper is an American composer, arranger, pianist, and author, born on February 27, 1940, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. He moved to Chicago in 1964, where he wrote jingles and material for jazz groups, and recorded an album with a big band in 1974. In 1978, he settled in Los Angeles, composing music for television while continuing to record as a leader. Over nearly fifty years, he has composed for films and received one Emmy nomination and five Grammy nominations.
